PRN 42799 THE DESERTED SETTLEMENT OF WINCEBY IS MENTIONED IN DOMESDAY BOOK. {1}{2}{3} Substantial earthwork and cropmark remains pertaining to medieval settlement in this area have been recorded by the National Mapping programme. These consist of trackway, enclosures crofts, field system of ridge and furrow and boundaries. {4} See also PRN 45251 for post medieval earthwork tofts.
