The site of the deserted medieval village of Well, mentioned in Domesday. {1}{2}{3} Earthworks of the former village, including remains of former boundaries, trackways and enclosures, have been identified on aerial photographs examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. The earthworks are also visible on LIDaR imagery. {4}{5}
