PRN 42747
A large enclosure with hut circle(s). There is an inturn at the south west corner and a gap at the north-west corner. There is a wedge shaped annex at the north side (exterior). Classified as a slight univallate hill fort for Monuments Protection Programme. {1}{2}, AREA 1.2H, HTM 85M
The scheduling includes a slight univallate hill fort and an external enclosure abutting its north eastern side. There are cropmarks inside the hill fort, including pits, possible internal divisions and at least one round house. The aerial evidence indicates that, whilst the hill fort may have had various functions, including seasonal corralling of stock or acting as a temporary refuge, there may also have been a period of permanent occupation. {3}
