Full Description

Woodthorpe hall is a red brick Tudor house and was the seat of the Ballett family. {1}{2} Woodthorpe hall is a 17th century house with mid 17th century fenestration but an original cross window to the rear lights. {3} A small country house dating from the mid 17th century which underwent alterations in the 18th, mid 19th and 20th centuries. It was constructed of red brick and has pantile roofs and a pair of central square ridge stacks. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with multiple regular yards. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Located within a Church and/or Manor farm group. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site. {5}
