In the churchyard of St Mary's church, Tetford are the remains (base and shaft) of a churchyard cross which stand 1.2m high. {1}{2}{3} The monument includes the base and lower part of a medieval limestone cross, located to the south-east of the south porch. For a full description see scheduling document 22711. There is a 1m boundary around the archaeological features, considered to be essential for the support and preservation of the monument. The gravestone on the north-east side of the cross, where it lies within the protected area, is excluded from the scheduling. {4} Photographs of the cross show that there is a shield bearing the arms of the Thimbleby family. {5} For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {6}
