Full Description

A large Anglo-Saxon inhumation cemetery found during deep ploughing at Tetford Hill in 1958. The site was partly excavated by G. V. Taylor who found a group burials. He excavated six graves and identified a further two. Associated finds included pieces of 'fused' and infused iron and bronze, pieces of wood and two bronze links. A sword knife 20 inches long and a broken square-shaped bucket have also been found at this site. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
