THE VILLAGE OF SALEBY IS MENTIONED WITH THORESTHORPE IN THE DOMESDAY SURVEY OF 1086. EVIDENCE OF SHRINKAGE COMES FROM EARTHWORKS AND AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}, HTM 16M Depicted on the National Mapping Programme as a series of earthwork crofts, boundaries, ridge and furrow and enclosures.{6}
