Full Description
A moated site of unusual shape at Gillwood's Grange, to the south of the village of North Reston. {1}
The moat was almost certainly only ornamental. {2}
There is a documentary reference to a dwelling, field and pasture called 'Gillewude', dated 11 October 1262. {3}
There is adjacent ridge and furrow earthworks visible in aerial photographs and recorded by the staff of the National Mapping Programme. {4}
