Full Description

St James' Church, Rigsby was mainly rebuilt between 1863 and 1866 but it retains its Norman (1066AD to 1200AD) west door and chancel arch. {1}{2}{3} Whhite refers to it as 'a small thatched edifice'. {4} A parish church built in 1863 by James Fowler in the Neo-Norman style from rock faced limestone. It has a slate roof with decorative ridge tiles.
