Full Description

Sherds of 2nd to 4th century Romano-British pottery were found in 1954 and 1955, in this location to the south of Stainsby House. A Roman brooch of unusual form was found in the same area in 1956. The brooch was thought to be of Collingwood's group X type (bow and fan-tail). {1}{2}
