Full Description
Earthworks of medieval lynchets and culitvation terraces, at Gaumer Hill, Scamblesby. Visible as a series of level working platforms on a north facing slope, with an average width of 9m, and with a maximum vertical interval of 6.5m. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}{2}{3}
Although the earthworks have been impacted by modern ploughing, they are still quite clearly visible on more recent aerial imagery, as seen on Google Maps. {4}
