Full Description

Although retaining Perpendicular (1180AD to around 1520AD) features of the 14th century, including the west tower, nave and chancel, there was much alteration of the original greenstone fabric with brick in 1638. {1} The Church of St. Andrew is a Grade II* listed Parish church. It was built of greenstone rubble, red brick and limestone ashlar dressings in the mid 14th century. It underwent alterations in the 15th century, 1638 and 1701 and was restored in the 19th and 20th century.
