Full Description

This record now includes PRN40257 that has been deleted. An early Bronze Age beaker (Abercromby A2 type) found in 1856, about one mile from Horncastle during the course of railway excavations. Its present location is not known. It was actually found in Thornton parish. {1} An early Bronze Age beaker found in 1856 in Thornton parish in 'excavations necessary for the formation of the railway in that vicinity'. {2}{3}
