Full Description

PRN 42141 St James church retains Decorated and Perpendicular features but was rebuilt in the 19th century. {1}{2}{3} The church was founded in 1348 as a college of priests by Lord Willoughby. The chuch was built in the late 14th century with additions in the 16th century, and was partially rebuilt in 1879 by W. Bassett Smith. The churchyard contains several mature trees and the war memorial is situated in the north western corner. {5}
