St Helen's Church was rebuilt in brick in 1841. {1}{2}
A parish church dating from 1841 and restored in 1892 by C. Hodgson Fowler. It was constructed of pale orange brick with ashlar dressings and has slate roofs. It was originally 'a small ancient structure with a wooden belfry and its chancel was thatched until 1824 when it was covered with tiles.
