Full Description
The site of a mid Georgian house which stood in a landscaped park (PRN48791) laid out with rustic buildings. The Hall has been demolished. {1}{2}
Scremby Hall was probably built about 1720 and was drawn by Nattes in 1800. The original five bay classical house with a hipped roof and three dormer windows had had two side wings with canted bays added to it by 1800, perhaps in the 1780s. The building was closed up and the contents sold off in 1937. It was being used as a grain store in 1958 and it was gradually demolished over the following years, the last part being demolished in the 1970s. {3}
