Full Description
Ulceby is mentioned in Domesday. By 1450 the village was much reduced and united with Fordington. The Ulceby men took the cultivated strips of Fordington into their own fields. {1}{2}{3}
Aerial photographs show slight traces of earthworks. {4}
The National Mapping Programme has plotted village earthworks, consisting of croft boundaries, buildings, crofts and ridge and furrow, from aerial photographs. {5}
