Full Description
SALTERN SITE WITH BRIQUETAGE, HAND BRICKS, SHORT RODS, EVAPORATION DISHES, SHELL GRITTED POTTERY AND MEDIEVAL PANCHEON RIMS AND GREEN GLAZED SHERDS. {1}
Medieval salterns did not use the poorly-fired clay-vessels that are the source of briquetage. If the identification of briquetage is accurate then the saltern site will be Prehistoric or Roman. {2}
