Full Description
A spread of Iron Age or Romano-British briquetage was found in this location in 1979, indicating the likely occurrence of former salt working. The artefacts were found 1m down, on the southern side of a small pit, and included fragments of hand bricks, a glazed hearth, flats and pan fragments. {1}
