Full Description

Probable saltern site: banks and rectangular hollows, exposed in the gales. Finds include medieval and post-medieval sherds, including Toynton and Old Bolingbroke types, and animal bones. {1}{2} Earthworks of a linear feature were identified on aerial photographs in this location by the National Mapping Programme. The site is now thought not to be a saltern but a modern digging into which earlier material was washed. {3}
