MABLETHORPE WAS TWO SMALL VILLAGES PRIOR TO 1877, ONE OF WHICH WAS MABLETHORPE ST PETER. THE CHURCH OF ST PETER WAS WASHED INTO THE SEA IN THE 1540s. {1}{2}
