Full Description

The size of the property indicates the past prosperity of the fishing village. The north wing of four bays and five storeys is attached to an earlier, higher gabled wing. This extends east to form a T shape. {1} A 17th century inn which underwent alterations in the mid 18th and 19th centuries. It was constructed of red brick and has pantile roofs with coped and tumbled gables, two gable stacks, a single ridge stack and a single tall lateral stack. It has been suggested that it dates from the Second World War. There is no evidence at this time to support this statement. {4}
