Full Description

Several sherds of 3rd to 4th century Roman greyware pottery and part of a flue tile were recovered in 1973, during excavations at the Church of St Peter. The artefacts were unstratified, but suggest possible Roman occupation of the glacial moraine on which the church lies. {1}{2}{3}{4}
