Full Description
Sherds of Roman samian and greyware pottery, found in this location with fragments of oyster shell, possibly representing a midden site. The site appears to be on the northern tip of a plateau area of spur. {1}{2}
A further possible sherd of Romano-British pottery was found in the same area in 1995. The sherd had brick-red coloured surfaces with a light grey core, and featured cockle shell impressions. {3}
