Full Description

A scatter of flints, located on a north facing slope, near a hump of very sandy and flinty soil. {1} A collection of 8 flints of late Mesolithic to early Bronze Age date were recovered in May 2011, during systematic field walking along selected parts of the proposed Covenham Water Treatment Works to Boston Transfer pipeline. The assemblage comprised one core fragment, three flakes - two of which were retouched, three blades - one of which was notched, and a combination tool. {2}{3}
