Full Description
A settlement at Miningsby was recorded in the Lincolnshire Domesday and Lindsey Survey. It was located in the wapentake of Bolingbroke. {1}
Miningsby was recorded as having at least 60 inhabitants (over the age of 14) in the poll tax returns of 1377. {2}
The National Mapping Programme identified settlement earthworks on aerial photographs of this location, consisting of tofts, buildings, and ridge and furrow. {3}
Further earthworks of the shrunken medieval settlement were identified in August 2012, during lidar assessment of the proposed route of a new water pipeline between Miningsby and Boston. {4}
