Full Description

A HOARD OF 34 MEDIEVAL COINS FOUND AT MAREHAM IN 1961. THE HOARD CONSISTED OF 27 GROATS OF PRE-TREATY PERIOD (EDWARD III), 6 HALF GROATS OF THE SAME PERIOD AND 1 GROAT OF DAVID II OF SCOTLAND. THE HOARD WAS DECLARED TREASURE TROVE IN MARCH 1962-25 GROATS AND 6 HALF GROATS WERE BOUGHT BY LINCOLN MUSEUM, THE REST ARE WITH THE BRITISH MUSEUM. {1} EXACT LOCATION NOT KNOWN.
