A glazed pottery reliquary of 14th century date in the form of a cross-shaped little building. The object was found under the chancel of Revesby Church during rebuilding work in 1892 and is now (1975) in the church. {1}{2} The piece of pottery found in digging the foundations of a new church in Revesby in 1890 was reported to the Society of Antiquaries in London in January 1891. At the time it was identified as an ornate candlestick fashioned like a cruciform building. It was dated to the second half of the 14th century. There is a drawing of the object in the proceedings of the society. {3}
