Full Description

The west tower has a Perpendicular style (1180AD to around 1520AD) arch to the nave. In the nave on the north side the windows are of the Decorated period (1290AD to 1350AD). Windows on the south side are Perpendicular (1335AD to 1530AD). The chancel arch is also Perpendicular but the chancel is of 1886 to 1887. {1} Stained glass in this church dates to the 14th century. A grisaille depicting a popinjay (unique in the county) was so corroded upon attempting restoration that the conservator replaced it with a copy, retaining the original in his workshop. {2} A parish church with architectural features surviving from the 14th and 16th centuries. The chancel was rebuilt in 1886. It was constructed of squared coursed limestone rubble with ashlar render and has slate roofs.
