Full Description

Extensive earthworks associated with the remains of a shrunken medieval village at Grimblethorpe are visible on aerial photographs. The area was perambulated but no earthworks of former steadings were identified, only field roads, field banks and ditches. Some cottages and an early 17th century hall survives at Grimblethorpe, on the same site as the former medieval village. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}{6}
