VILLAGE EARTHWORKS SEEN ON AERIAL PHOTOGRAPH.{1}
A fluxgate gradiometer survey was undertaken as part of an archaeological assessment in advance of proposed residential development. The aim of the survey was to locate any archaeological features within the application area. No reponses suggesting the presence of archaeological features were detected. However, the majority of the site was found to be subject to severe magnetic interference from a number of sources, and it is possible that archaeological features have remained on site and that anomalies produced by them were masked by stronger, ferrous fields. {2}
