Full Description

Ditches which are presumably medieval field plots. The drains close to the village were visited and are in process of being levelled (1968) for cultivation. No finds were observed. {1} The feature is not a moat, but field roads and drainage ditches. {2} During trial trenching by Pre Construct Archaeology Services in October 2010 a ditch containing two sherds of medieval Toynton ware jug and six fragments of animal bone was revealed. {4}{5}
