PRN 40309 DESERTED HAMLET OF LOWTHORPE, WEST PART HAS BEEN PLOUGHED FOR SOME TIME. COBBLED AREA STILL SHOWS, AND THERE ARE SOME CORNER STONES AND SOME TILES. SURFACE FINDS - 13TH-18TH CENTURY POTTERY. MEDIEVAL POTTERY FROM BEHIND OLD HOUSES TO THE EAST.{1} Deserted Medieval village remains. Depicted as tofts and crofts, platforms, buildings, boundaries, hollow ways, mounds, quarries and ridge and furrow earthworks on the NMP.{2}
