Full Description

A lead coffin was found in 1892, in the churchyard at Baumber. {1}{2} The coffin was included in a list of Roman coffins found near Horncastle; the possible Roman date for this coffin was postulated due to the proximity of Baumber to a Roman road, although the exact date of the coffin remains unknown. {3}
