Full Description
NINE SKELETONS, ORIENTATED E-W WERE UNEARTHED FROM TWO PITS IN 1927. A LOOSE WALL OF RE-USED DRESSED STONES, WHICH HAD BEEN PART OF A NORMAN STYLE BUILDING, WERE SEEN AT THE HEAD OF THE SKELETONS IN THE FIRST PIT. SKELETONS FOUND HERE ACCORDING TO MR CARTER OF LOUTH. CWP 22/03/30. ACCORDING TO LINC. CHRON - 28/01/28 AND 04/02/28, THERE WERE THREE SKELETONS PLUS BONES FOUND TWO YEARS BEORE. ONE SKELETON ASSOCIATED WITH MEDIEVAL CARVED STONEWORK.(PHOTO).
