LINE OF EARTHWORK, LOCALLY KNOWN AS 'ROMAN BANK', NOTICED RUNNING NORTH FROM STATION FARM. SEE FILE FOR SECTION. PRESUMABLY THIS WAS SOME KIND OF MEDIEVAL WATER DRAINAGE CHANNEL OR DEFENCE AT THE JUNCTION OF FEN AND HILL. THE EARTHWORK IS KNOWN TO HAVE CONTINUED SOUTHWARD.{1}
