Full Description

A hoard of bronze spearheads were dug out of peat at Wildmore Fen, Hundle Houses (TF2553) in 1822. These spearheads are now lost.{1} A bronze hoard, found at Hundle Houses in AD 1822 and recorded in the Cragg manuscripts. Some spearheads were dug up here, some with gold gilding remaining fresh upon them.{2} P. Davey records these spearheads in his gazetteer of Bronze Age metalwork from Lincolnshire. {5}
