Full Description

A medieval pottery whistle in the form of a jester's head was found at Tattershall. The artefact was recovered from deposits 3-4m deep, while 'digging supports for Bailey Bridge'. The whistle was thought to be probably 15th century in date, and is now in the City and County Museum. {1}{2}
