MEDIEVAL ROOF FINIAL IN THE FORM OF A HOUSE WITH THREE KEYHOLE-SHAPED WINDOWS STANDS ON THE ROOF OF A MORE RECENT HOUSE NEAR THE MARKET PLACE. KNOWN AS 'TOM THUMB'S HOUSE' (PEVSNER p 395). THERE IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE IN HORNCASTLE, NOW AT THE BANK CHAMBERS.{1}
