Full Description

PROBABLE MEDIEVAL CROPMARK EXTRACTIVE PITS. PART OF ONE OF THESE MAY HAVE BEEN LOCATED DURING A WATCHING BRIEF SOUTH OF ST FAITH'S CHURCH. THE FEATURE IS A SHALLOW, REGULAR, NORTH-SOUTH TRENCH. ITS SIDES ARE ALMOST VERTICAL AND WAS FILLED WITH LOOSE MID-GREY SAND MIXED WITH LIMESTONE FRAGMENTS. {1}{2}{3}
