Full Description

35024 THE EXISTING APS OF LAND BETWEEN MILL FARM AND CHURCH FARM, WILSTHORPE, SUGGEST EXTENSIVE PREHISTORIC SETTLEMENT. THE CROPMARKS APPEAR TO INDICATE MORE THAN ONE PHASE OF ACTIVITY. DURING A WATCHING BRIEF ON A WATER PIPELINE REPLACEMENT, A DITCH WAS RECORDED. IT WAS ON THE SITE OF ONE OF THE CROPMARK ENCLOSURES (LI.788.5.6). A FURTHER DITCH WAS OBSERVED TO THE WEST OF THIS, WHICH MAY ALSO BE PART OF THE SETTLEMENT. {1}{2}
