Full Description
A concentration of Roman artefacts were found in 1979, during field walking on land to the west of Ropsley. The assemblage comprised over 250 sherds of Roman pottery, a quern fragment and four pieces of Roman tile, and could indiciate the location of possible Roman settlement activity. {1}
