PRN 34829 POST MEDIEVAL FINDS FROM THE PLOUGHED SURFACE OF THE CENTRAL PLATFORM OF THE MOATED SITE WERE COLLECTED DURING FIELDWALKING BY RUTH WALLER. THE POTTERY WAS BROADLY DATED TO THE C17 AND C18 AND CONSISTED OF FOUR SHERDS OF STAFFORDSHIRE SLIPWARE, ONE SHERD OF MIDLANDS YELLOW WARE, TWELVE SHERDS OF MIDLANDS PURPLE WARE, ONE SHERD OF SALT GLAZED STONEWARE, ONE SHERD OF NOTTINGHAMSHIRE STONEWARE, AND NINE SHERDS OF GERMAN STONEWARE. OTHER FINDS NOTED INCLUDED A PIECE OF POST MEDIEVAL GREEN BOTTLE GLASS, TWO FRAGMENTS OF POST MEDIEVAL CERAMIC BUILDING MATERIAL, SEVERAL LARGE DEPOSITS OF OYSTER SHELLS, TWO FRAGMENTS OF UNDATED SANDSTONE ROOF TILE, AND ONE FRAGMENT OF UNDATED MOULDED LIMESTONE OF CIRCULAR SECTION - POSSIBLY A WINDOW MULLION. TWO SPREADS OF SANDSTONE RUBBLE WERE ALSO NOTED NEAR THE WESTERN EDGE OF THE PLATFORM. {1}
