Full Description
In spring 1995, a worker for the Grimsthorpe Estate reported finding pieces of pottery and slag in this location. When examined, the pottery assemblage was found to be Roman and include relatively large pieces of grey ware, colour-coated ware and mortaria fragments. {1}
Slag and grey ware pottery was observed in this location during a site visit, conducted on 09/03/06, when the site was under cultivation. {2}
