Full Description
IN A FIELD NORTH OF BACK LANE AND MIDDLE STREET ARE UNDATED EARTHWORKS. THEY SEEM TO BE HOUSE PLATFORMS, POSSIBLY RELATING TO EARTHWORKS JUST TO THE NORTH. THE LAND IS PASTURE. {1}{2}
A watching brief was carried out on land adjacent to back Lane. A stone and Brick well was revealed, which may be seventeenth century or earlier. In the north of the site there was a possibly medieval stone wall, and possible eighteenth century or earlier building remains. Three sherds of pottery dating from the twelfth-eighteenth century were recovered. {3}{4}
