MEDIEVAL POTTERY WAS FOUND DURING FIELDWALKING BY THE LENTON, BITCHFIELD, BASSINGTHORPE LOCAL HISTORY GROUP ON OCTOBER 26, 1978. MANY FRAGMENTS INCLUDING RIMS, SHERDS, HANDLES WERE FOUND WITH GREEN GLAZE AND PLAIN DECORATION. {1}
