Full Description
THREE FRAGMENTS OF AN ANGLO-SAXON SQUARE HEADED GILT ON BRONZE BROOCH FOUND BY A METAL DETECTORIST 20TH JUNE 1994. IT WAS REPORTED BY THE FINDER THAT AT LEAST FOUR MORE OF THE SAME WERE RECOVERED BY OTHER METAL DETECTORISTS AT THE SAME PLACE, ON THE RISE OF A SMALL HILL. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THIS MAY BE THE SITE OF AN ANGLO-SAXON CEMETERY. {1}
