Full Description
A site visit was conducted in December 2000 to identify archaeological features within two compartments of the wood. Although no features were observed, it was recommended that another attempt be made at another date, as conditions within much of the wood were unsuitable for survey at the time. {1}
An area of woodland (all of which is classified as plantation) included in the Nature Conservancy Council's 'Inventory of Ancient Woodland'. Ancient woodland status considered to be probable. {2}
