Full Description

PRN 34031 Range of 19th century rebuilt almshouses (founded in the 17th century). For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {3} Thomas Hurst DD in 1671 gave houses adjoining church of St Wulfram to house eight poor widows. The almshouses benfited prior to 1671 from the wills of Francis Trigg and Anothony Acomes (1640). Later benefited from will of Arabella Langiwth (1857). Six senior almspersons were paid a sum not exceeding 6/1d nor less than 3/6d per week. The original building no longer exists. {2}
