'Bradley's Almshouses' are visible on the 1971 OS map off Swinegate. {1}
The almshouses originally stood on the High Street and were endowed in 1874 by Elizabeth Bradley. Eight modern units were built in Swinegate in 1964 and the original almshouses demolished. {2}
